Dr. Caren Droesch practices medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology and treats the full spectrum of skin disease in patients of all ages, including pediatrics. She is expertly trained in all facets of medical dermatology and has a special interest in psoriasis. She has published multiple articles on psoriasis and other topics in the dermatology literature and has spoken internationally at medical conferences.
Dr. Droesch also performs outpatient skin surgery within our suite at DermWellesley to remove both malignant (skin cancer) and certain benign skin lesions. She always pays special attention to minimize scarring and optimize cosmetic outcome.
Dr. Droesch also has a special interest in cosmetic dermatology including fillers, neuromodulators (Botox and Dysport), and lasers. She was trained in New York City by some of the field’s top cosmetic dermatologists and has since paid that favor forward, giving talks on cosmetic dermatology and sharing her knowledge with others. Because of her keen aesthetic eye and attention to detail, she is regarded as a talented cosmetic dermatologist by her peers and patients alike
Dr. Caren Droesch's Dermatology Education, Achievements, & Background
Dr. Droesch completed her Dermatology Residency at Weill Cornell/New York Presbyterian Dermatology Training Program in New York City. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She received her M.D. with Research Honors from Tufts University School of Medicine where she was named a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a dual degree in Spanish and Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University. Dr. Droesch is on the consulting staff at Newton Wellesley Hospital and continues to accept new patients.
Dr. Droesch continues to provide educational talks to her colleagues throughout the Newton Wellesley system and gives back to the community at large, serving on expert panels to help raise awareness about skin cancer. Beyond this, Dr. Droesch is cognizant of patient wait times to see dermatologists and the frustration that causes. She is pleased to offer urgent access hours weekly for any skin issues requiring more expedited appointments.
