Emily Wise, MD
Emily M. Wise, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder of DermWellesley in Wellesley, MA.
She practices medical and cosmetic dermatology and treats the full spectrum of skin problems and concerns. While Dr. Wise has advanced training in all areas of dermatology, she has a clinical interest and expertise in treating acne for both adolescents and adults. She lectures and educates other healthcare professionals regularly about acne and acne management and is often featured in local and national media publications. She also has extensive experience with neurotoxins such as Botox and Dysport, non-surgical fat reduction techniques (Kybella), and laser therapy.
Dr. Wise completed her residency training at Boston University and served as Academic Chief Dermatology Resident. She received her M.D. from Boston University School of Medicine, where she was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Wise graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania. She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Wise founded DermWellesley with the goal of providing all patients with the highest quality dermatologic care while also giving them a highly personalized and customized medical experience.
Dr. Wise has conducted both basic science and clinical dermatology research and has been published in numerous peer-reviewed academic journals. She also serves on the Medical Advisory Board for Impact Melanoma (formerly Melanoma Foundation of New England) and volunteers her time educating the public about skin cancer and skin cancer awareness. She is also a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at the Boston University School of Medicine.
